Land Rover explains the name ‘Road Rover’. This trademark intended for the third modelfamilie of the brand, of which we were the first electric cross-over for the road expect?
This week, the brand Land Rover, the name ‘Road Rover’ official representation. Although Land Rover nothing has been confirmed, we will – on the basis of information that the car manufacturer last year, supplied – from here to a separate, third modelfamilie in addition to the Discovery and Range Rover families.
The name ‘Road Rover’ suggests that this is going to be used for models that are especially suitable for dynamic on-road driving. They would have less terreincapaciteiten than that of the current Landf Rover-families. ‘Real’ cross-overs in the city and on the road, if you want to.

The new platform that will be developed would be suitable for both brandstofmotoren as an electric powertrain.
It is expected that the first Land Rover Road Rover, just like the Jaguar XJ, a 100 percent electric car, with two electric motors to desire can allow for All-Wheel Drive. Performance which are expected to include a 0-100 km/h sprint in less than 5 seconds and a theoretical range of almost 500 km. A more aerodynamic appearance than that of the Range Rover family than necessary.
